Well, the only person who doesn’t recognize the election is over, and you didn’t win, is you. I know how you feel; for 4-years, you made it clear to every citizen of the world, you hate “losers” most of all.
However, think of this: when you meet someone next time that you think is a “loser,” now you’ll have a special bond with them; so are you.
It’s time for you to move out and move on.
Give the new team a chance to settle in as rapidly as is possible; move out before January 20, 2021. You’ll be spending a lot of time at Mar-a-Lago and on the golf course, so why waste your time worrying about the redecoration of the White House? I’m sure the government will give you that gigantic TV set near the Oval Office, free. Think of it as a parting gift from a Grateful Nation.
While you are thinking of The White House and the new team’s offices, it will be helpful to immediately give the space previously allocated to Ivanka and Jared to the transition team right now. They won’t need them since it’s likely they are already packing their bags for departure. Don’t be concerned with revoking their security clearances; they shouldn’t have had them in the first place, and they won’t need them at welcome parties in Manhattan when they arrive.
I know that you’re disappointed; more than 71 million folks voted for you, and they are likely just as unhappy as you are. However, Don, everyone needs to move on, leaving the transition and the new leadership team to the job of healing and reconstruction.
Perhaps some of the 71 million folks who voted for you will see opportunities ahead, maybe a job for them, better medical care, and above all, a viable solution to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let’s all give these people a new chance. You’ve influenced this audience for 4-years; if more voters had wanted you to continue in office, you’d still be there on January 21, 2121.
But you won’t.
