When this pandemic started gathering speed, it was nearly impossible to obtain an “approved” face mask. While most folks thought the N95 cover was best, none were available to the public. So, in keeping with the American tradition of innovation, made-at-home (or eBay) masks became popular.
Now, of course, we have daily updates on what masks are best, and what is not. More businesses are requiring them, and airlines are mandating their use. Delta Airlines recently set another mask rule when they announced people who are wearing masks with small ventilating openings will be unable to board their aircraft.
More importantly, Masks have entered the fashion world, big time; even my favorite men’s wear store, Brooks Brothers, now sells them. Who knew?
Like nearly everyone else, I have the 3 masks in this image with me at all times. Additionally, I have several tucked into my car’s console, ready for action. Speaking of my car, I also have a wide assortment of sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizers, Clorox wipes, and clean hand towels on hand.
Yesterday, I read that Dr. Fauci, our favorite medical spokesperson, is considering the value of wearing goggles in addition to everything else. That seems pretty far fetched to me, however, in this day and time, nothing seems too far out.
Even a mostly untested and sort of approved Russian virus vaccine seems nearly reasonable.
